Laurie Dever

What Laurie loves about HR: There is a lot of problem-solving, and she gets to help with employee relations.

Experience: Laurie retired from a 25-year career in HR, with the majority of the time spent working in nonprofits at the executive or VP levels. She has experience in most functions of HR, leadership, development, and coaching. In addition to her SHRM-CP and Professional Human Resources certifications, she holds a master’s degree in education and is a licensed professional counselor.

Fun fact: Laurie is a musician. She plays the bagpipes for funerals, parades, weddings, and other events. She is passionate about the humane treatment of people and animals, especially those who cannot speak for themselves.
